Duty Days: 187 days per year

 

Primary Purpose:

Assists librarian in the administration of the campus library; performs routine clerical duties under direct supervision.

Tools and Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard library equipment including imaging equipment; standard instructional equipment

Posture: Regular sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular overhead reaching; climbing ladders; occasional pushing or pulling book cart, audiovisual equipment or computer cart

Lifting: Frequent light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds); occasional moderate lifting and carrying (15–44 pounds); occasional carrying and lifting of books to stock or restock shelves; weights of single books and files up to 5 pounds; when lifting more than 20 pounds must use two (2) person rule.

Environment: Work inside; work alone; exposure to biological and chemical hazards such as mold and dust; may require occasional district-wide and statewide travel

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
