Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Tools and Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; welding machines (MIG, TIG, Stick), cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, power tools, hand tools, and ventilation systems; personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, jackets, and safety glasses.

Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Motion: Frequent walking

Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment

Environment: Work primarily inside a welding lab and classroom setting; frequent exposure to heat, fumes, sparks, bright light, and loud noise; may work outside as needed; must follow strict safety protocols to minimize risk; occasional districtwide and statewide travel.

Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours
